OUR FAITH STATEMENT
The Holy Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the foundation of our faith. Through Scripture, God reveals His truth, His love, and His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. The Bible is our final authority for belief and daily living, guiding us to know God, grow in faith, and live according to His will.
Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12; Matthew 24:35.
The Holy Trinity
We affirm that there is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, the physical miracles he performed, His atoning death upon the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return of power and glory at His second coming.
Scriptures: Matthew 28:19; John 1:1, 14; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11.
REPENTANCE
The Holy Spirit uses the gospel of Jesus Christ to bring conviction of sin and a recognition of our need for God. True repentance is more than feeling sorry for sin—it is turning away from sin and choosing to follow God in faith and obedience. Through repentance, a person experiences salvation, new life in Christ, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
Scriptures: John 16:8–11; 2 Corinthians 7:10; Acts 2:42; John 3:3–8; Hebrews 9:28; Mark 1:15; Luke 13:3; Acts 3:19.
Being "born again"
Regeneration, or being “born again,” is the work of God that gives new spiritual life to those who place their faith in Jesus Christ. Through the Holy Spirit, believers are made alive in Christ, restored to a right relationship with God, and empowered to live according to His will. Being born again is essential for entering God’s Kingdom and marks the beginning of a transformed life of discipleship, worship, fellowship, and obedience to God’s Word.
Scriptures: Ephesians 2:1; Titus 3:5; John 4:24; 1 Corinthians 15:22; Romans 8:1–11; 1 John 5:1; John 3:4–5; Acts 2:42; 1 Thessalonians 4:4.
Baptism with the Holy Spirit
We believe the Baptism with the Holy Spirit is a distinct and powerful experience available to believers. As demonstrated in the Book of Acts, it empowers Christians for service, witness, and ministry. This experience is accompanied by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit and the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. Through the Holy Spirit, believers receive power to share the Gospel, grow in spiritual maturity, and be guided in God’s will.
Scriptures: Acts 2:38–39; Acts 8:14–17; Acts 10:44–46; Acts 19:2–7; John 14:17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:33; John 16:7–15; Ephesians 5:18.
fruit of the spirit
We believe the Fruit of the Spirit is the evidence of a life surrendered to and led by the Holy Spirit. As believers walk daily with Christ, the Holy Spirit produces Christ-like character, including love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These qualities cannot be produced by human effort alone but are the result of God’s work within us. Believers are called to walk in the Spirit, reflect the light of Christ, and grow continually in spiritual maturity.
Scriptures: Galatians 5:16, 22–23; Ephesians 5:8–9; Romans 8:1–14.
water baptism
We believe water baptism is an act of obedience to Jesus Christ and a public declaration of faith in Him. Through baptism by immersion, believers identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ and demonstrate their commitment to follow Him. While baptism does not save or remove sin, it is an outward expression of the inward work of salvation and a testimony of belonging to Christ and His Church.
Scriptures: Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 3:21; Romans 6:3–5; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38, 41; Acts 10:47–48; Acts 16:30–33.
tithing and giving
We believe tithing and giving are acts of worship, obedience, and stewardship. Tithing is the practice of returning the first tenth of our increase to God through the local church to support His work and the ministry of the Gospel. Offerings are given in addition to the tithe as an expression of generosity and gratitude. Through faithful giving, believers participate in advancing God’s Kingdom, caring for others, and supporting the mission of the Church.
